Multiplying by 10 and 100

This week in Maths, we have been learning how to multiply and divide by 10 and 100. To help us understand this new concept, we have been using place value grids and counters. To multiply by 10, the counters need to move one column to the left. We then discovered, when you multiply by 100 you need to move two columns to the left. The children felt really confident after using the manipulatives. Well done, Lime Class!
