Forest school adventures

This week we took time to notice the changes starting to happen around us as the seasons change. We learned that deciduous trees are starting to change the colour of their leaves before dropping them and leaving them bare-branched over winter, while evergreen trees keep their leaves all year round. Those lovely Autumn colours were too good to ignore, so we made pretend campfires to snuggle around with our friends. The yellow leaves made perfect flames!

We went on to learn about some of the other animals that like to call woodland ‘home’. We played hide and seek in groups by laying flour animal tracks for other groups to follow and find the animal that made them.
