Woad war-faces!

Under the roof this week: We learned that at the time of the Roman invasion of Britain, Iron age Britons made themselves look fierce by painting their faces with woad - a blue plant dye - and used lime to make their hair white and spikey. We used our developing brushstroke skills to design our own woad painted faces.
