Cedar

Welcome to the Cedar class page

Cedar class is taught by Mrs Barber for the first half of the week (Mon - Weds) and Mrs Marvell Stewart for the end of the week (Thur - Fri) and supported by our fabulous Learning Support Assistant, Mrs Allen.

This half term our topic is called “ Is it ever alright to steal?” and explores the legend of Robin Hood. Through this topic we will explore mapping and compass skills, the properties of materials and whether we can choose the best ones to build a woodland den for our merry band. We we also be learning about local landscape artist Jo Sheppard and her love of local landmarks familiar to us.

We are excited to be going swimming every Wednesday throughout the Summer Term, and our other PE focus is on learning the skills needed to play Rounders. We are also taking on the ‘Marathon Kids’ challenge by running 3 laps (1 mile) of the track each day so please ensure children have PE kits and trainers in school at all times.

Check out our class news page to keep up-to-date with all the exciting things we get up to on our learning journey.

You can find us on the playground before school and at our classroom door after school, and we are also available by email (cedar@robertbakewellprimary.com) and phone (01509 231646).

Kind Regards,

Mrs Barber and Mrs Marvell-Stewart
