How do you make a branching database?

Over this half term, we have been busy classifying animals by building our own branching databases. During our unplugged sessions, we spent time learning how to classify animals, what branching databases are and how these can be used to classify.

We really enjoyed building our databases even though it was tricky at times. We had to use lots of logical thinking to sort the animals and had to go back and de-bug when we found some issues. We had lots of fun trying each other’s branching databases!
