What are the effects of different types of cam mechanisms?

In DT this unit, the children are looking at cam mechanisms to hopefully design their own moving toys. This week, they looked at different cam mechanisms and how these can effect the movement of the toy. They made a structure to test out different cams and recorded their findings. They will then use these results to decide which cam they would want to use for their toys!
