How could we describe the setting in Floodland?

The class have been loving our class novel, Floodland. In the story, there have been huge floods, with the city of Norwich becoming an island surrounded by water and Zoe having to fend for herself. As a class, we wanted to create a shared write to describe the island, before the children had an opportunity to write about a different setting within the story. In small groups, they thought of different ideas and we then worked together to combine them for our final piece. They were so proud of their efforts and loved the final outcome! I think you will agree it’s very impressive!
