Understanding characters

The children have been engrossed in our novel, ‘Street Child’ by Berlie Doherty. This week we have been thinking critically about the characters in the novel. The children have written character descriptions, using some fantastic descriptive language. Here are the freeze frames of key events so far in the novel. The children imagined they were in the story and explained how their character would be feeling at that point in the story.
