WOW Day!

What a start to the new term we had today. We really kicked off our learning in style. Ancient Egyptian style! We started off the day with some mummification. We wrote some instructions to explain how we thought the Ancient Egyptians might have mummified people. Then we learnt what they did and what they used before we had some fun mummifying each other. We used toilet roll although we know that is not what the Ancient Egyptians used. Mr Murray was a willing volunteer to be our mummy for a demonstration! We then looked into some very impressive headwear and created our own art work using oil pastels. Then there was just enough time to learn some of the names of the Ancient Egyptian Gods and Goddesses. We will hear more about them in the novel we are reading in English. What a day!
