We’re Going on a Bear Hunt

We have really enjoyed exploring this wonderful book by Michael Rosen. The children have become experts at re-telling the story with actions and using props. The children have particularly enjoyed joining in with Michael himself re-tell this story. They also enjoyed listening to his poem ‘Chocolate Cake’ and found it very amusing. We have also explored the character of the Bear from the story by writing descriptions and thinking about why he may have been following the family back to their home. The children have also explored bringing the story alive in the outdoor classroom as they went on their very own Bear Hunt.
