How can we choreograph a routine?

Our first PE unit this year is Dance and for the first couple of lessons, we looked at a piece of music called ‘The Spy.’ the children we taught a sequence of moves to begin their dance, before putting together their own sequences in small groups. They had to work in beats of 8, also thinking about whether the dynamics of their movements and also whether the moves would be in unison, in canon or mirroring each other. They showed great teamwork and everyone was so impressed with each group’s dances!
