Take One Picture

During our first few days back, Lime Class took part in our whole school ‘Take One Picture’ project where we looked at the famous portrait of our namesake, Robert Bakewell (1725 - 1795), which currently resides in the National Portrait Gallery.

The children recreated the backdrop of the painting using collage of natural textures and added in some of Loughborough’s own iconic landmarks! We also wrote acrostic poems about Robert Bakewell, linking to our character muscles. A great start to the year!
