Making Shadow Puppet Theatres

As part of our Science and DT unit on light, we started making our shadow puppet theatres this week! In Science, we explored which materials transmit light and learnt about opaque, translucent and transparent materials. Next, we researched shadow puppet theatres, made a prototype and designed our structures using cardboard boxes, baking paper and investigated different ways to join the materials together. We also considered how to make our designs look like a real theatre. Our next step is to decorate and paint the theatres and make our shadow puppets! More pictures coming soon!
