Artefacts
Written By Emma Hayden
This week we have combined our history and Art/DT lessons to study artefacts from ancient Egypt. We found out about various artefacts, from the most famous, King Tutankhamun’s death mask, to the less well known, heart scarab. The children learnt why these artefacts were important enough to be found in the tombs of some of the greatest Egyptian pharaohs. The children used their carving skills to create their own ancient Egyptian wall art and used the modelling skills to create their own death masks.
