Homework 

Homework is given out with each new topic.

The children will have a range of activities to choose from. These will be connected with the class topic and give the children opportunities to further their independent learning. Homework can be returned at any point throughout the term. The homework will be show cased during the topic celebration open door event.

Keystage 2 also send out spelling and times tables on a weekly basis. All keystage 2 children also have a login to use "Ten Ticks" maths programs. If you do not have access to this really good site please contact your class teacher.

As a school we expect all children to read at home at least four times a week with everyday being ideal. Children bring their reading book home daily. All children have a reading record to fill in. 

If there are any problems with homework please do not hesitate to speak to your child's class teacher. 

Below you will find some useful information to help with Maths and English. The documents for Maths include example calculation strategies that are taught in each year group. There is also a 'Grammar Glossary' which shows the sort of terminology the children are taught and expected to use as they progress through Key Stage Two.
