What does Julius think?
Now we have read chapter one in our class novel, ‘Julius Zebra’, we wanted to explore his thoughts and feelings in more depth. We used freeze frames to explore his relationship with his brother and thought tapping to hear Julius and Brutus say how they felt when they were arguing. Finally we used hot seating to ask Julius some questions to find out why he didn’t want to go to the lake. The children did incredibly well at speaking in role and thinking carefully about how Julius and Brutus would feel and what they might say and do.
