Pumpkin art

This term we have been learning about Yayoi Kusama, a famous artist who loved polka dots and bright colours. She is famous for her pumpkin sculptures, combining them with her love of bright colours and polka dots. We took inspiration from her artwork and created our own by drawing out our templates first and then shaping the clay, using tools to carve in the lines. In a few lessons time, we will then paint them using bright colours. The children have enjoyed the process so far and are looking forward to seeing the final products!
