How do I use a compass?

In Geography, we have been learning about compasses - what they are, why they are used and how we use them. We learned that there are 8 points on a compass and that they can be used to help people navigate.

We practised using them and then went on to the playground to see what was at each of the compass points. It was tricky but we enjoyed learning how to use them.
