Getting in to character

In English, we are reading ‘Ug: Boy Genius of the Stone Age’. Over the last 2 weeks we have been getting to know the characters and today, we worked together to create freeze frames to show how we thought the characters might be feeling. The children tried very hard to use their bodies and facial expressions to show emotions.

Using thought tapping, the children shared how the characters were feeling and why. Some thoughts were:

‘I’m furious because he (Ug) doesn’t like his stone trousers…’

‘Sad because mum shouts a lot…’

‘Confused because Ug doesn’t like anything…’
