Tales of Wisdom and Wonder

In English this term, we are exploring tales of wisdom and wonder. So far, we have heard the tale of ‘Monkey and Papa God’, which we have really enjoyed! We made predictions about what we though would happen in the story and changed these as we heard more of the story. We also looked at the pictures and discussed what we thought the characters might be saying based on the clues we could see.

When we heard the whole story, we practised summarising the tale before re-telling the story through role play. We thought carefully about how we could bring the story to life using facial expressions and intonation in our voices. The pictures are just a snapshot of our super re-tellings!
