Welcome to Birch!

Welcome back to you all, we hope you have had a restful week break and are ready for the exciting learning we have in store for you this half-term.

This term’s topic is all about Awe and Wonder and we will be exploring our learning question
“What is wonderful about our local area?”

Our class novel study is Grandad’s Island and we will be exploring this in our English lessons through creating a setting description of the island/jungle and also learning how to create an informal letter.

We love reading at Robert Bakewell, so please try to read as much as possible with your child at home, we cannot wait to hear all about their exciting reads!

Our P.E lessons take place twice a week on a Wednesday and a Friday. Please ensure your child has a full and named kit in school. Also, please ensure your child has a water bottle in school everyday.
