Sculptures

In art, we have been learning about sculptures. We practised sculpting with playdough first and made some amphibians. We then moved on to using clay. We spent the first session learning how to handle clay and made some thumb pots. We then moved on to sculpting bird shapes with clay. Once the clay had been fired in the kiln, we painted them with glaze. When they came back from the kiln a second time, children were amazed to see how shiny they had become. Look at how beautiful our birds are.
