Happy Diwali

Happy Diwali to all our families that have been celebrating this colourful festival this week. We have been learning about some of the traditions upheld during this festive period. The children watched Jessica on Cbeebies help her family prepare for Diwali, as well as listen to the story of how Prince Rama rescued his wife Sita from the ten headed demon Ravana. Children have been mesmerised by the traditional art of creating beautiful rangoli designs using coloured sand and have enjoyed creating their own with paints and chalk outside with Mrs Biles. On Thursday we had a Diwali craft morning across all three classes and were able to enjoy a range of activities with our friends.
