The first few weeks
The children of Alder class have been busy settling back into school life. In literacy the book focus has been Ruby’s worry which is all about how a worry can grow and grow if you do not talk about it. That has meant we have learnt lots about each other as we have discussed our worries, happy memories and what we need to do when we are worried.
At first the children all got to paint their portraits. In art we have started to look at how to make different lines and how to use this knowledge within our paintings. This is something we will be working on throughout this terms art lessons. Along with how to draw a self-portrait.
In science the children have been looking at all the different parts of the body. They also got to label all the label the body after getting to draw around each other.
