Cress Sandwiches

As part of our topic: What is a plant? All the children in Alder class planted some cress seeds the first week back after half term. The children looked after the cress by making sure their pots were kept in the sunshine and watered. After 7 days the cress had grown enough to eat. This week the children all made their own cress sandwiches.

First the children spread the butter onto their piece of bread. Next, they cut the cress and sprinkled their cress onto their slice of bread. Lastly, they folded their sandwich and eat it -yum!
